Feeding the pregnant mare the natural way with Sweet Meadow
During the last trimester of pregnancy the nutritional needs of the mare increase and should be met with adequate amounts of good quality fibre and a specifically formulated mix or cube. Sweet Meadow Stud Mix is an appetising muesli diet which adequately supplies nutritional requirements of working stallions, brood mares and youngstock up to three years of age.

The formulation contains a cancentrated vitamin and mineral supplement and good quality protein for growth and repair. As a result it can be fed at reasonably low levels, helping to avoid rapid growth and excessive weight gain, obviously undesirable in developing youngstock and brood mares.

Sweet Meadow Stud Mix contains elevated levels of vitamin E, which has been shown to be beneficial during the last trimester to hlp support the unborn foal's immune system. Calcuim and phosphorus are also present in the recommended ratio of 2:1 necessary for health bone growth.
